Resource Needed:

You'll need these resources to ensure safety, fun, and a smooth execution for Axe Throwing:

  • Venue Set up: Secure a suitable venue for axe throwing activities. Look for indoor facilities specifically designed for axe throwing or outdoor venues with proper safety measures in place
  • Axe Throwing Targets: Purchase/ rent axe-throwing targets designed for safe and effective axe-throwing
  • Axes: Acquire a sufficient number of throwing axes for participants to use during the event. Choose axes specifically designed for axe throwing, with durable construction and proper balance


1 Week Before the Event:

  • Confirm Booking: Reach out to the venue where the axe throwing event will take place to confirm the reservation details, including the date, time, and any specific requirements.
  • Coordinate Resources: Double-check that all necessary resources for the event, such as axes, targets, safety equipment, and first aid kits, are secured and readily available
  • Communicate Event Details: Send a reminder email to registered participants with event details, including the location, time, and any special instructions or requirements
  • Prepare Event Materials: Gather any paperwork or documentation required for the event, such as liability waivers, participant sign-in sheets, and emergency contact information

During the Event:

  • Sign Waivers: Have participants sign liability waivers before engaging in axe-throwing activities- Conduct Safety Briefing: Before the start of the axe-throwing activities, conduct a comprehensive safety briefing for all participants

Axe-Throwing Guidelines:

  • Wear Appropriate Attire: Wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement. Avoid loose-fitting clothing or accessories that could interfere with axe throwing or pose a safety hazard.
  • Handle Axes Safely: Always handle axes with care and respect. Hold the axe by the handle and avoid touching the blade or sharp edges. Do not swing or throw axes when not in the designated throwing area.
  • Maintain a Safe Distance: Maintain a safe distance from other participants and spectators while throwing axes
  • Never Throw Simultaneously: Avoid throwing axes simultaneously with other participants. Wait for the throwing area to be clear before making your throw, and ensure that no one is standing in front of or behind you
  • Retrieve Axes Carefully: After making a throw, wait for the axe to come to a complete stop before retrieving it from the target. Exercise caution when approaching the target area, and never reach for a stuck or fallen axe while others are throwing
